Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
The downy woodpecker, Dryobates pubescensis, is the smallest North American woodpecker. It is black and white with checkered wings and a white breast. The male has a red patch on its head. It feeds on insects, but also eats seeds and berries. This one, seen in Nebraska, was perched momentarily in the crotch of a maple.
I use my camera to explore the world around me and as a basis for creative expression.
