The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

The name is apparently a misnomer because the belly of this bird is never red, but he sure is handsome.

I have enjoyed roaming the mountains of western North Carolina for over 30 years in search of interesting nature images to capture on 'film'.
